Facade Renovation and Design Challenge Program
Our Town Cooperative Main Street Program sponsors the Facades Renovation Program, a financial incentive program to assist property and business owners in the district, as an ongoing part of the revitalization of the downtown area.
Based on State Guidelines,
the purpose is to establish guidelines for the Canonsburg Business District
revitalization through a Match-Grant Program that assists property and business
owners with renovations, enhancements, signage replacement and other asset
improvements. The result will be a rejuvenated Downtown and increased prosperity
for businesses and property owners.
The Our Town Cooperative has awarded grants to property
owners totaling $38,690.94.
Applications for funding within the downtown district can be downloaded from this site and submitted for consideration prior to the last Friday each month. Projects will be funded on a first come first serve basis upon approval by the Design Review Board.
The Our
Town Cooperative, Inc. and Downtown Canonsburg was recognized by the
Pennsylvania Downtown Center as being 10th
in the State for Façade Renovation Projects and the Net Private to Public
Investment ratio being 3.14 to 1 on projects completed in 2009.
Congratulations to the Design Review Board and to the downtown property
owners who have renovated, invested and helped in the continued revitalization
of our central business district!
