Welcome to Downtown Canonsburg!

Charm and variety is what you'll find in Downtown Canonsburg.  Located just off I79, we are a hop skip and a jump from the city of Pittsburgh (In List maker 2012!!), minutes away from the Meadow's Racetrack/Casino and Tanger Outlet Mall, and just "down the block" from world famous Sarris Candies. Gifts, collectibles, antiques, treasures, and home décor with everything from furniture to flooring. Need a bite to eat?  Choose between Greek cuisine, favorite burger, pizza and sub shops, the local coffee shop, and good ole American fare.  Downtown Canonsburg is a gathering place for all with events like our Blast Before the 4th and the very patriotic 4th of July Parade, PA Bavarian Oktoberfest, the Monster Mash Bash and Old Fashion Christmas celebration bringing the young and not so young into the heart and soul of the community for festive fun times throughout the year.

We’ll welcome and surprise you while making your own downtown discoveries!

Who, What, Where….is Art in Canonsburg??

Students in the Canon-McMillan High School Art Department took part in a special project specific to our community.

Faculty members supervised the projects which have been produced on three canvases gracing the walls in the Our Town Cooperative office.

·       The Visual Arts Communications class canvas depicts where art can be found in Canonsburg.

·       The Advanced Art Honors class canvas illustrates who creates art in Canonsburg.

·       The Concept and Creative Thinking class canvas shows what kind of art can be found in Canonsburg.

“We are so fortunate to have such creative students in the community”, states Nadeen Steffey, the boroughs Main Street Manager.  “We look forward to more partnerships and projects with the students and faculty at Canon-Mac in the near future”.

The completed canvases can be viewed at the Our Town Cooperative office at 134 North Jefferson Ave. in downtown Canonsburg.

The Mission of the Our Town Cooperative, Inc., Canonsburg’s Main Street Program, is to stimulate renewed interest in preserving and invigorating the Business District of Canonsburg while providing support and resources to the community. Success in this endeavor is dependent upon the creation of partnerships amongst merchants, property owners, civic and government leaders so that all are working toward the common goal of sustainable growth and prosperity.
